Business as Usual — and Better Than Ever

You may have seen that the Printers Playhouse building has recently been placed on the market. We want to reassure our community, supporters and audiences that it is very much business as usual at Printers Playhouse.

In fact, this moment coincides with something very exciting for us.

On Saturday 16 May, we complete a programme of improvements to the venue — refreshing and enhancing the space to make it even more welcoming, comfortable and inspiring for everyone who walks through our doors.

Printers Playhouse remains at the heart of Eastbourne’s creative life:

  • Our performances continue as planned

  • Our bar is open as usual

  • Our vibrant programme of live music, theatre, spoken word and community activities carries on — stronger than ever

We are committed to continuing our work as a creative home for artists and audiences alike, and we look forward to welcoming you to experience the refreshed space this weekend and beyond.

Come and see what’s new — and enjoy everything you already love.

Another fantastic PPH production

‘The course of true love never did run smooth.'

Desperate to escape their unhappy fates, young lovers Demetrius, Lysander, Helena and Hermia flee their village in the heart of England for the moonlit woods.

There – along with a band of amateur actors/musicians – they fall under the spell of mischievous Puck and their punky apprentice Cobweb, tumbling into a dream world where illusion and reality are hilariously confused.

A gender bending, 70s spin on the classic tale.
